Mother’s Day celebrations

Posted on in General

On Wednesday 8 May, St Mary’s College mothers and mother-figures were treated to a lovely breakfast in the Nagle Centre in anticipation of Mother’s Day.

The Mother’s Day breakfast is a much-loved event in the SMC community, and our students delighted in coming together to celebrate and express gratitude to the remarkable women in their lives.

We were thrilled to have more than 500 guests attend the event, including mothers, grandmothers, aunties and significant carers, who enjoyed a delicious spread of fresh egg and bacon rolls, homemade granola and berries, and warming beverages.

A big thank you to all our special guests and our wonderful volunteers for ensuring the morning ran smoothly, particularly after a last-minute venue change instigated by the wet weather!

More photos from the event can be found in the College photo gallery here.

Groving our love of learning

St Mary's College is located on the traditional lands of the muwinina people of the South East Nation. We acknowledge and deeply respect the palawa people, the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community, and all Elders past and present. We are committed to learning alongside our students and community in this place, nipaluna, and support the continued sharing of knowledge and culture.
